OPERATING SITES

Revatech Monsin

Located on the right bank of the river Meuse on Ile Monsin between the Albert Canal and the Meuse, the Monsin plant comprises 3 hectares of different facilities, including recovery and also disposal.

Monsin holds an operational permit that is valid until 2033.

With the current layout, the plant has a nominal processing capacity of 110,000 tonnes/year. There is scope for expanding this, possibly enabling 140,000 tonnes to be processed each year.

The disposal facilities enjoy use of a physical/chemical installation, a biological installation, a stabilisation unit and also a grinding unit (deconditioning).

Our recovery activities are based around a unit for recycling alkaline and saline batteries and a unit for aggregating combustible waste intended for cement factories.

Revatech Engis

Located on the right bank of the Meuse, the Engis site occupies a 4-hectare site located between the Hydrométal and Knauf premises. This is the ‘Red Factory’ site which, historically, was responsible for producing a red pigment from the sulphate mineral jarosite. It is this pigment that was the source of the red colour used to decorate Nice’s main avenue.

Engis has an operating licence valid until February 2041.

In its current configuration, the nominal processing capacity is 80,000 tonnes/year, a tonnage level reached in 2019. Capacity could be extended, allowing for the processing of 140,000 tonnes of waste per year.

REVATECH Engis operates exclusively with liquid, sludge and solid mineral waste. This activity simultaneous comprises aggregating, pre-processing and also processing activities.

The aggregation work is essentially a question of producing mineral materials for the cement industry and non-ferrous metal concentrates (Zn, Pb, Cu, Ni, Sn, Co and Mo) for use in metal refineries.

The company’s physical/chemical activities concern both disposal, but also recovery based on hydrometallurgical processing.
